The SonoCam Pi is a hand-held acoustic camera development kit designed to support for quick and accurate sound imaging application.
With up to 208 MEMS microphones and an array larger than 30 cm in size, this development kit is capable of both near-field and far-field measurements in a single system. This high-performance, lightweight and portable development kit redefines mobility and precision in acoustic diagnostics, enabling it the ideal tool for acoustic testing and analysis.
The SonoCam Pi development kit is capable of both near-field and far-field measurements in a single system, which makes it suitable for a wide range of applications, such as acoustics laboratory research and testing, detecting mechanical faults or airborne noise, visualizing acoustic weak spots and radiating components, and optimizing sound quality in automotive and consumer electronics.
Customizable and Replaceable Microphone Array
Optional Far-field Beam-forming or Near-field Holography
Open API for Real-time Waveform Output
Class 1 Frequency Response
Customizable and Replaceable Microphone Array
The microphone array of the SonoCam Pi features a modular design, allowing for plug-and-play replacement. It currently offers four array options: a 30cm 208-channel microphone array, a 30cm 128-channel microphone array, a 70cm 208-channel microphone array, and a 110cm 208-channel microphone array. Customers can flexibly select the most suitable array based on their specific measurement objects.
Optional Far-field Beam-forming or Near-field Holography
The SonoCam Pi development kit is capable of both near-field and far-field measurements in a single system.
Beamforming frequency range:
200 Hz – 20 kHz, with a 110cm 208-channel microphone array
Holography frequency range:
20 Hz – 20 kHz, with a 110cm 208-channel microphone array
Open API for Real-time Waveform Output
SonoCam Pi provides API for real-time 208 channels waveform and video output. Customers can develop own algorithm and application with the microphone array and hardware platform . Algorithms can be applied on PC via Matlab software.
Class 1 Frequency Response
SonoCam Pi is designed and calculated as sound level meter performance, meeting the Class 1 frequency response requirements, enabling you to show highly accurate sound levels and localize where sound is coming from on the 8-inch touch display.
500-Meter Drone Detection and Locating
The SonoCam Pi is capable of detecting and tracking drones at a range of 500 meters with a 30cm 208-channel microphone array. It can actively capture acoustic waves in the most challenging conditions and display them as an intuitive visual image. It also delivers pinpoint accuracy over long distances, with the ability to reliably detect small drones up to 500 meters away.
Up to 8 Hours of Operation
A single rechargeable Li-ion battery provides up to 4 hours of continuous operation. SonoCam Pi comes standard with 2 batteries, offering a total runtime of up to 8 hours.
With an extra spare battery included, the device supports a full day of testing. The standard package features two smart batteries and a smart battery charger for effortless battery management. LED indicators on each battery show the current charge level, allowing users to easily monitor battery status and plan their work efficiently.
