Spatial Audio Test System
High-Precision Motion Simulation
Automated Testing Process
Objective and Standardized Evaluation
Modular Fixture Design with Broad Compatibility
Overview
With the continuous growth in consumer demand for immersive experiences, spatial audio has become a key differentiating feature for a wide range of audio devices. However, achieving efficient, stable, and objective measurement of spatial audio performance during mass production remains a common challenge across the industry.
CRYSOUND provides a spatial audio testing system based on a three-axis motorized rotary platform, enabling fast and stable evaluation of spatial audio functionality. Inside the shielding enclosure, headphones are connected via the CRY576 Bluetooth adapter for IMU data acquisition and analysis.
This system introduces objective measurement metrics for spatial audio performance, effectively ensuring product-level consistency and reliability.
System Diagram
- The host computer controls the Bluetooth dongle, connects to the device under test, and sends the command to enable spatial audio
- The host computer or manual operation rotates the turntable to the target orientation
- The host computer instructs the Bluetooth dongle to send commands to the device under test and retrieve IMU data
- The host computer analyzes the IMU data and outputs the test results
Features
- High-Precision Motion Simulation
A servo-motor-driven three-axis rotary platform delivers a repeat positioning accuracy of ±0.05°, ensuring consistent and repeatable motion during each test cycle and significantly improving measurement accuracy.
- Broad Compatibility
Based on customer-specific testing requirements, Zhaohua Electronics supports both Bluetooth and serial communication interfaces. Test fixtures can be custom-designed to match different headphone form factors, enabling compatibility with a wide range of headphone types.
- Standardized and Quantified Evaluation
Spatial audio performance criteria are quantified through IMU data analysis, enabling objective verification of spatial audio functionality while minimizing subjective judgment.
